Hillel Students Supporting Israel

Connecting Jewish students to Israel is a big part of Hillel's mission. Whether that means organizing a Birthright trips for someone who has never visited Israel, or showing solidarity with Israel on campus, Hillel is motivating Jewish students to be proud of their connection to Israel. Hillel's Israel agenda is guided by principles established by Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. Our goal is to bring to foster an understanding and connection between Jewish students and the state of Israel, outside the framework of politics and ideologies.

Israel Action in the Los Angeles Campus Community
There is a growing trend of anti-Israel activity and rhetoric on campuses across the country, and LAHC is at the forefront of standing up for Israel on campuses and throughout our region. Our programs advocate for Israel through education, speakers, rallies and celebrations of Israeli culture and holidays. Hillel partners with other agencies such as the Jewish Community Relations Committee of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, the Israeli Consulate and the Anti Defamation League to plan and implement activities that will increase students' knowledge and advocacy skills.

The Israel on Campus Coalition

The Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC) is a network of national organizations working to promote Israel education and advocacy on university campuses across the United States. Coalition members are committed to educating students about Israel's history, culture, accomplishments and challenges, bringing Israel resources to campus (including speakers, marketing campaigns, educational materials, etc.), facilitating study and travel experiences in Israel, and launching national campus initiatives in support of Israel. LAHC is an active partner with ICC in these endeavors.
